One of the largest Amazon warehouses in Baltimore, the BWI2 is only 5 to 7 minutes away from the downtown commercial district. As it’s close to the Broening Highway in the Canton Industrial Area, the facility is ideal for shipping Amazon orders in Baltimore City and the surrounding area.

In this 1-million-sq-ft warehouse, about 2,500 workers are currently employed at a minimum hourly rate of $15. For such a large warehouse, the reviews regarding the work environment, pay rate, and company benefits are pretty good. 

However, the warehouse workers joined the driver’s strike in 2023 complaining about the unfair labor practices and safety protocols.

2. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Baltimore County – DCA1

Address: 1700 Sparrows Point Blvd, Sparrows Point, MD 21219, United States

To process and ship large and extra-large orders from Baltimore County, Amazon built the DCA1 warehouse in the Baltimore Beltway. 

The warehouse is easily accessible from all sides of the city through the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway, Jones Falls Expressway, and Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway. In this 1-million-sq-ft facility, there are more than 1,000 full-time workers.

As the MDT2 & KRB5 fulfillment and distribution centers are the only Amazon warehouses in Cecil County, the facilities are important for local business owners. 

The warehouses cover a huge 1.2-million-sq-ft area and house more than 700 employees. Most workers are paid an average hourly rate of $18.

From Amazon fulfillment centers in Baltimore and Harford Counties, packages are sent to the MDT2 & KRB5 warehouses for faster shipping in the northeastern side of the state. 

Both facilities are easily accessible from several major routes including I-95 and US40. It only takes 3 to 5 minutes to get to the location by car.

However, the residents are satisfied with the location of the warehouse as Branch Avenue connects to the major roads of the state without disturbing the residential areas. From downtown Waldorf, you can drive to the warehouse in 5 to 10 minutes only.

6. Amazon Air Hub, Anne Arundel County – KBWI

Address: 1351 Mathison Way, Baltimore, MD 21240, United States

One of the most active Amazon Air Hubs in the world, the KBWI delivers all over the state in the shortest possible time. The warehouse is located in the Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport. 

It has more than 1,200 employees working at an approximate average hourly rate of $19. Most orders from the KBWI cargo facility are shipped for Amazon Prime customers and local shoppers in Maryland. 

If you take a traffic-free route from downtown Baltimore, it takes around 30 minutes to get to the warehouse by car.
