Dropshipping apps are tools that plug into your store to handle the work a supplier doesn’t. The best apps for dropshipping cover six jobs: finding and syncing products (DSers, AutoDS, Zendrop, Spocket), order tracking (Track123, AfterShip, CWILL Order Tracking), reviews (Judge.me, Loox), email and SMS (Shopify Messaging, Klaviyo, Omnisend), upsells (ReConvert, Frequently Bought Together) and translation (Translate & Adapt). Most have a free plan, so a new store can launch with a full stack for little or nothing a month. Shopify’s App Store holds over 16,000 apps, so the hard part isn’t finding apps. It’s keeping the list short.
Below I compare the strongest options in each category, with prices and ratings from their Shopify App Store listings on October 8, 2026, then give the starter stack I’d install.

Product sourcing apps
The sourcing app is your supplier connection: it imports products, sends orders and pulls tracking back. Choose this one first, because it shapes everything else.
DSers connects AliExpress, 1688 and other sources, and has the strongest rating in the category at 5.0 from over 6,000 reviews. The free plan is generous for a test store. I’d pick it when you’re sourcing from AliExpress.
AutoDS focuses on automation, with a 3-day trial and plans from $26.90 a month. It suits sellers who want price and stock monitoring built in.
Zendrop offers a free plan and paid tiers from $29 a month. Custom branding sits on its paid plans.
Spocket focuses on US and EU suppliers for faster delivery. Its rating is lower at 3.5, so read recent reviews before you commit.

Order tracking apps
Dropshipping orders often take longer to arrive than shoppers expect. A tracking page cuts the “where is my order?” emails. In my view, this is the first app worth adding after sourcing.
Track123 has a free plan and paid tiers from $9 a month, rated 4.9.
CWILL Order Tracking is ParcelPanel under a new name, now from CWILL. It’s rated 5.0 from over 3,000 reviews, free to start, then from $11 a month.
AfterShip is the best-known name and says it covers over 1,100 carriers. Free plan; Essentials from $11 a month.
Any of the three will do the basic job. I’d pick by how the tracking page looks on your theme.
Review apps
Reviews matter more for dropshipping stores than most, because shoppers don’t know your brand. Photo reviews help most.
Judge.me stands out: 5.0 from over 48,000 reviews, a free plan that collects unlimited product reviews, and paid features from $15 a month. For most new stores, this is the easy choice.
Loox focuses on photo and video reviews, rated 4.9. Its paid plans start at $49.99 a month, so it makes more sense once you have steady orders.
One rule regardless of app: collect real reviews from real buyers. Importing reviews from a supplier’s marketplace for a product you didn’t sell yourself misleads shoppers, and the FTC’s 2024 rule on fake reviews targets exactly that kind of practice.
Email and SMS apps
Email is where a dropshipping store earns repeat sales without paying for ads again.
Shopify Messaging (renamed from Shopify Email) sends the first 10,000 emails a month free, then charges $1 per 1,000. It now covers email, SMS and WhatsApp. For a new store, it’s the simplest place to start.
Klaviyo is the more powerful option, with a free plan and email from $20 a month. Its segmentation is the reason stores switch to it as they grow.
Omnisend sits between the two, free to start and $16 a month for Standard.
Here’s how I’d decide: start on Shopify Messaging. Move to Klaviyo or Omnisend when you need detailed flows, such as browse abandonment by product type.
Upsell and bundle apps
Thin dropshipping margins improve when each order is bigger.
ReConvert handles post-purchase upsells and thank-you page offers, rated 4.8, free to start and from $9.99 a month. Its developer now lists as Upsell.com.
Frequently Bought Together adds product bundles on the product page, rated 4.9, from $14.99 a month with a 14-day trial.
Honestly, one upsell app is enough. Two upsell apps fighting for the same page slow it down and confuse shoppers.
Translation and currency
Selling abroad? Translate & Adapt is Shopify’s own free app, which auto-translates up to two languages. For prices, Shopify Markets converts prices automatically with market exchange rates. Shopify’s help page illustrates the conversion with an example fee, so check what applies to your plan and country.
The starter stack I’d install
For a brand-new dropshipping store, I’d start with five apps, all with a free tier:
- DSers (or your supplier’s own app) for sourcing.
- Track123 for order tracking.
- Judge.me for reviews.
- Shopify Messaging for email.
- Translate & Adapt, only if you sell in more than one language.
That covers sourcing, post-purchase trust and repeat sales. Add an upsell app once you have enough orders to test offers, and upgrade email when your list grows.
Why this order? Each app solves a problem you’ll actually have in week one. Products need importing. Buyers ask where parcels are. New visitors want proof that others bought. Past customers forget you exist. Upsells and advanced email only pay off once traffic is steady, so they can wait without costing you anything.
How to keep your app stack lean
Every app adds code, and too many slow the store. A slow store loses sales. A few habits keep things tidy:
- One app per job. Two review apps or two tracking apps rarely add value.
- Remove what you uninstall. Some apps leave code in your theme after removal. Check the theme files or ask the developer.
- Test speed before and after. Run a speed test on a product page each time you add an app.
- Review monthly costs. Free plans often end at an order or contact limit. Know where each one starts charging.
- Read recent reviews. A high average can hide recent problems. Sort by newest before installing.

Questions to ask before installing any app
App listings are written to sell. A few questions cut through that.
Does it work with my supplier app? Tracking and review apps need order data. Most read it from Shopify, but confirm that dropshipped orders sync tracking numbers back, or the tracking page stays blank.
Where does the free plan stop? Free tiers usually end at a number of orders, reviews or contacts. Find that number before you build habits around the tool.
Who answers when it breaks? Look for recent replies from the developer in the reviews section. Silence there predicts silence later.
Can I leave cleanly? Ask whether your data (reviews, contacts, tracking history) exports. Locked-in data turns a cheap app into an expensive one.
What does it load on the storefront? Some apps only work in the admin. Others add scripts to every page. The second kind needs a speed check.
I’d spend ten minutes on these questions for each app. It’s much faster than untangling a messy store six months later.
What apps can’t fix
Apps make a good store run smoothly. They don’t make a weak product sell. If the margin is too thin, or delivery takes weeks, no tracking page or upsell will save it. Start with the numbers: our guide on whether you can make money dropshipping walks through costs before you spend on tools.

FAQ
What are the best apps for dropshipping?
By job: DSers or AutoDS for sourcing, Track123 or AfterShip for tracking, Judge.me for reviews, Shopify Messaging or Klaviyo for email, ReConvert for upsells, and Translate & Adapt for languages.
What is the best free dropshipping app?
DSers has a free plan and a 5.0 rating from over 6,000 reviews. Judge.me, Track123, Shopify Messaging and Translate & Adapt also have free tiers.
How many apps should a dropshipping store have?
As few as cover the core jobs. Five apps (sourcing, tracking, reviews, email, and translation if needed) is a sensible start.
Is Spocket better than DSers?
They serve different needs. Spocket focuses on US and EU suppliers for faster shipping; DSers connects AliExpress and other sources. DSers is rated 5.0 and Spocket 3.5 on the Shopify App Store.
What happened to Shopify Email?
Its App Store listing now shows the name Shopify Messaging. It covers email, SMS and WhatsApp, with the first 10,000 emails a month free.
Do dropshipping apps slow down a Shopify store?
They can. Apps that add scripts to every storefront page affect load time, so run a speed test on a product page before and after each install, and remove apps you no longer use.
Do I need an order tracking app for dropshipping?
It’s strongly recommended. Dropshipped orders can take longer to arrive, and a tracking page reduces customer questions and complaints.
