Still, Amazon remains one of the most prominent industrial presences in the state by creating thousands of employment opportunities. Unfortunately, the e-commerce giant doesn’t have an official list of the exact number of warehouses and their locations.

Therefore, I’ve decided to help you find the closest Amazon warehouse in your neighboring area in South Carolina. Read on as I share all the Amazon warehouse locations in South Carolina

A Detailed Discussion of Amazon Warehouses in South Carolina

If you want to become an Amazon associate or FBA seller in Amazon’s South Carolina warehouses, here are some essential details you need to know about some notable facilities:

1. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Lexington County – CAE1

Address: 4400 12th St Ext, West Columbia, SC, United States

One of the largest warehouses in South Carolina, CAE1 is located near the I-26 and I-77 freeways. It’s also close to the CSX railroad facility.

The 1.06-million-square-foot building has more than 500 full-time workers. In this fulfillment center, packages are received, stored, and shipped within Lexington County.

While the $17 per hour average pay rate is good, the work is difficult. Employees have pointed out how stressful it is to stand for hours with minimal breaks. From downtown West Columbia, the warehouse is 16 minutes away.

2. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Lexington County – CAE3

Address: 222 Old Wire Rd, West Columbia, SC, United States

Located on the north side of West Columbia, the CAE3 warehouse is the second fulfillment center of the city. It serves as a crucial hub for the storage, processing, and distribution of goods.

The key purpose of placing the warehouse in this location is to shorten the travel time for delivery trucks and vans. According to the reviews, the CAE3 warehouse is a great workplace with competitive salaries.

Moreover, FBA sellers also gave it good ratings for timely deliveries. If you take a traffic-free route, the drive time to the warehouse will be 16 minutes from downtown.

3. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Charleston County – CHS1

Address: 7290 Investment Drive, N Charleston, SC 29418, United States

The CHS1 warehouse is the only Amazon facility on the north side of Charleston County. For fast delivery, the warehouse is situated in the Charleston metropolitan region.

Many major population centers are within a 50-mile range of this facility including the cities of Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, and Goose Creek. Similar to other Amazon fulfillment centers, the warehouse is massive and houses hundreds of Amazon associates.

On average, full-time employees can make $16.95 per hour. Workers can earn more in the holiday season or by working extra hours. It should take you 21 minutes to get there by car from downtown.

4. Amazon Delivery Station, Richland County – DKC3

Address: 10700 Farrow Rd, Blythewood, SC, United States

For last-mile delivery across Richland County, Amazon built the DKC3 delivery station. Here, products are received from sortation or fulfillment centers and shipped directly to the customer.

In this warehouse, the pay rate for most workers is around $19 per hour. Apart from Blythewood, products are delivered to the neighboring cities as well including Columbia, Cayce, Dentsville, and Irmo. From Blythewood downtown, the warehouse is only 11 minutes away.

5. Amazon Delivery Station, Greenville County – DSC3

Address: 744 Frontage Rd, Greenville, SC, United States

To facilitate same-day delivery, Amazon built its first delivery station in Greenville. The warehouse serves as a crucial part of Amazon’s logistics network in the Greenville area. It facilitates efficient sorting and delivery of packages to customers in the region.

The average hourly salary rate for the warehouse employees is $17. Depending on the position and working shift, they can earn up to $28 per hour.

Thanks to the high pay rates and flexible shifts, most Amazon associates have given great reviews to the place. The warehouse is 18 minutes away from the city downtown.

6. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Spartanburg County – GSP1

Address: 402 John Dodd Rd, Spartanburg, SC, United States

In 2012, Amazon announced the opening of the one-million-square-foot fulfillment center GSP1 in Spartanburg County. As of now, the facility is the only Amazon warehouse in the area that ships products to the major cities of the county including Greenville, Asheville, and Columbia.

These urban centers are connected to the GSP1 warehouse through various transportation networks including highways and airports. Unfortunately, it’s an extremely busy yet slow-paced facility, and drivers have to wait hours to get their turn for loading or unloading.

The starting salary range in GSP1 is $18 to $21 per hour. From Spartanburg Downtown, it will take 17 minutes to get there by car.

Final Words

Due to the lack of industrial space and authority permissions, the number of Amazon warehouses in South Carolina is low. However, things have started to change since 2022 as the company has promised to provide thousands of new jobs in a healthy environment.

Earlier this year, Amazon announced the opening of two massive warehouses in Horry and Johnston counties. The company is expected to hire 1,000 employees for each warehouse at a $17 hourly rate.
