As the population of Idaho is low, the number of warehouses in the state is also lesser than more populated ones. Amazon fulfillment centers located in Idaho aid efficient packaging and fast delivery. These warehouses also provided jobs to thousands of locals with attractive wages.

Unfortunately, you can’t track down your nearby Amazon warehouse from the available online resources. Our guide to Amazon warehouse locations in Idaho aims to help FBA sellers, Amazon associates, and job seekers.

Read on to explore the right directions and all the necessary details about all the Amazon warehouses located in different cities and counties of Idaho.

Listing All the Amazon Warehouses Located in Idaho

There are many types of Amazon warehouses built to serve different purposes. In Idaho, you’ll mostly find delivery stations and fulfillment centers. Here are the details of each warehouse type:

  • Fulfillment Center (FC): In these warehouses, workers handle nearly the entire order fulfillment process. Products are received, stored, packed, and shipped from fulfillment centers.
  • Sortation Center (SC): Here, Amazon products are sorted that come from the fulfillment centers by zip code or destination. Sortation centers speed up the delivery process by strategically placing packages for efficient transportation.
  • Distribution Center (DC): While sometimes used interchangeably with fulfillment centers, distribution centers typically handle a broader range of products and act as a central location for several fulfillment centers.
  • Delivery Station (DS): These are smaller facilities located closer to urban areas. Delivery stations receive packages from fulfillment centers and sort them for final delivery by Amazon drivers, Flex drivers, or other carriers.

Geographical Distribution of Amazon Warehouses in Idaho State

Amazon aims to build warehouses in the most populated areas of the state. As you can see from the population density map, Bonneville, Ada, Canyon, and Kootenai are the most populated counties in Idaho.

The company has at least one fulfillment center or delivery station in each of these counties except Kootenai. It’s actually surprising to see no warehouses in Kootenai while less populated counties like Washington have pretty large hubs.

However, the existing warehouses are well-distributed, covering all the sides of the state. Most Amazon hubs are located on the northwest side of the state. There is at least one facility on the east and south sides of Idaho.

A Detailed Discussion About the Amazon Warehouse Locations in Idaho

Now, let’s get into more details about the size, work opportunities, environment, and routes of Amazon warehouses in Idaho. Here are the most notable facilities in different counties:

1. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Canyon County – BOI2

Address: 5319 E Franklin Rd, Nampa, ID 83687, United States

With the BOI2 fulfillment center, Amazon marked the establishment of its very first facility in Idaho. Developed in 2020, the 650,000-square-foot facility covers more than 111 acres of land.

As of now, the facility has more than 2,000 full-time employees. In the peak season, the number of vehicles going in and coming out of the fulfillment center can be up to 7,000 in a day.

This explains how hard you need to work as an employee in the BOI2. Although you can make up to $40K per year, the amount of hard work can risk your health.

According to OSHA, carrying heavy items and extra loads can cause musculoskeletal disorders in employees of this Nampa warehouse. If you take a traffic-free route, you’ll reach the BOI2 fulfillment center within 22 minutes by car.

2. Amazon Delivery Station, Ada County – DID2

Address: 6752 Business Way, Boise, ID 83716, United States

Soon after building its first fulfillment center, Amazon turned the former FedEx Ground buildings into a 79,000-square-foot delivery station.

With more than 1,000 employees working in the facility, it’s mostly used for receiving your order packages and loading them as the delivery vehicles to reach the customers.

The available jobs in this facility are mostly for warehouse associates and package delivery drivers. Depending on the position, the minimum pay rate starts at $16.50 per hour. It only takes 15 minutes to drive there from downtown Idaho.

3. Amazon Distribution Center, Bonneville County – W1D1

Address: 3700 S Pioneer Ln, Idaho Falls, ID 99216, United States

Amazon’s very first distribution center in the state, the massive W1D1 facility stands on a 107,000-square-foot area. With this warehouse, customers in eastern Idaho receive their parcels within 2 to 3 days instead of waiting weeks.

The facility started with 150 employees and the shifts typically start at 2 to 3.30 am. Packages arrive in this warehouse from Salt Lake and the employees label and organize them before shipping.

As an employee, it can be difficult to maintain the night shifts and the huge number of orders reaching up to 17,000 packages per day. The pay range starts at $16.60 per hour. If you want to reach the facility from Idaho downtown, it will take about 4 hours by car.

4. Amazon Delivery Station, Ada County – DID3

Address: 2660 W Fred Smith St, Meridian, ID 83642, United States

From Meridian to Fruitland, Amazon serves a huge area with the DID3 delivery station. Here, the packages are stored and delivered directly to customers or Amazon associates’ pick-up trucks.

The 180,000-square-foot facility features multiple sorting spaces and package loading docks to facilitate 24/7 package delivery. Positions like delivery service partners or customer service associates are the most attractive job options in the warehouse with the pay range starting at $18.95 per hour.

Most FBA sellers and workers gave good ratings to the warehouse, so you can expect a good working environment and fast loading. It’s only an 18-minute drive to the DID3 warehouse from downtown Idaho.

5. Amazon Same-Day Delivery Station, Canyon County – SID1

Address: 2800 E Comstock Ave, Nampa, ID 83687, United States

To deliver a package in just 5 hours, Amazon will soon open the same-day delivery station SID1 in Nampa. The 150,800-square-foot facility will utilize conveyor belts for faster loading and unloading.

While the number of employees and salary range isn’t revealed yet, the large building can harbor 200+ workers with a standard pay range starting at $16. From downtown Idaho, you can drive to the facility only in 21 minutes.
