Detailed Discussion of the Most Notable Amazon Warehouses in Massachusetts
Depending on the type of warehouse, the available jobs, facility size, and work environment vary. So, let’s dive deeper into the details of some notable warehouses to understand what it’s like to be associated with them.
1. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Essex County – BOS3
Address: 1450 Osgood St, North Andover, MA 01845, United States
Amazon’s largest warehouse in Massachusetts – the BOS3 – is the only Amazon facility in Essex County. It’s a five-story building standing on a massive 4 million square feet area.
Opened in 2024, the warehouse has over 1,500 employees currently. Apart from that, it’s one of the few highly automated Amazon fulfillment centers all over the United States.
Automated machines and small robots work along with the full-time employees to pick, sort, pack, and ship thousands of orders daily. The minimum hourly rate for the warehouse associates is over $15.
Unfortunately, most workers aren’t satisfied with their workload and stressful conditions inside the warehouse. However, the company offers additional health and education benefits from day one.
From North Andover downtown, you can take the MA-125 route to get to the BOS3 warehouse in 8 minutes.

2. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Plymouth County – SMA2
Address: 1025 Elm St, Bridgewater, MA 02324, United States
First of its kind, the SMA2 is a same-day fulfillment center in Bridgewater near Route-24. If you’re a local resident of the nearby cities, you can simply order on Amazon and get it delivered within the next 24 hours!
Although the warehouse is only 155,000 square feet in size, it can store 3 million products to ship them within hours of an order placement.
For faster delivery, the warehouse has numerous automated machines, robots, hundreds of warehouse workers, and flex drivers. The company even employs Uber drivers to quickly complete the deliveries.
Depending on their positions and work hours, employees can earn $15 to $22 per hour. The warehouse is only 11 minutes away from Bridgewater downtown via Elm St and MA-104 E.

3. Amazon Sortation Centers, Worcester County – OWD5 & OWD9
Address: 330 Bartlett St, Northborough, MA 01532, United States
To meet the rising customer demands, Amazon launched two sortation centers on the same street. The facilities are known as the OWD5 and OWD9 warehouses and cover a huge 92-acre area.
Around 1,400 employees are currently working in these warehouses at a minimum of $15 per hour. Amazon associates have given positive reviews to the warehouse for its diverse and friendly work environment.
While getting in and out of the warehouses, trucks take Bartlett Street and Main Street to avoid traffic. You can get to the location in only 6 minutes from downtown Northborough.

4. Amazon Distribution Center, Hampden County – DBO7
Address: 161 Lower Westfield Rd, Holyoke, MA 01040, United States
One of the most important industrial structures in Holyoke, the DBO7 distribution center stands near the Interstates 90 and 91 highways. The facility is 145,000 square feet in size and houses 235 warehouse associates and around 378 delivery drivers and service personnel.
In the initial employment stage, employees get a minimum hourly rate of $16. As it’s a distribution center, the workers here are responsible for packing and sorting the packages.
From here, the drivers pick up the orders and drop them at the nearest fulfillment center. While the warehouse is close to two major highways, delivery vans are often parked on Lower Westfield Road, creating unwanted traffic and noise.
5. Amazon Delivery Station, Bristol County – HBO1
Address: 350 Revolutionary Dr, East Taunton, MA 02718, United States
To store and deliver extra-large items, Amazon opened the HBO1 delivery station in 2021. Big-ticket items like televisions, furniture, couches, grills, etc., are stored and processed inside the warehouse. After that, delivery drivers drop them at your doorsteps.
The facility is smaller than most Amazon warehouses in the state, employing only 100 warehouse workers. On average, the employees get around $17 per hour.
Two major routes leading to the warehouse include Route 24 and Route 140. From the city center, the delivery station is only 10 minutes away.

Parting Words
Although I’ve added all the Amazon Massachusetts warehouses to the list, some of them might be closed as Amazon often shuts down its facilities to cut down costs.
The company will also build some new warehouses and create thousands of new jobs. It will also mean more traffic and noise in your neighborhood.
To keep yourself updated with the new warehouse launches, check your local newspaper or join the FBA seller and Amazon associate communities.
