TikTok Shop Not Showing? How to Fix It

TikTok Shop Not Showing Here's How to Fix It (2025 Edition)
Table of Contents

TikTok Shop not showing is almost always one of five things: your country does not have it, your account is under 18, your app is out of date, the feature is switched off in settings, or a cache problem is hiding it. Work through those in order and most cases resolve in a couple of minutes.

If you are a seller and your shop or your products have vanished, that is a different problem with different causes, and it is covered separately in the second half. Do not spend an afternoon clearing your cache when the actual issue is a product review or a shop health penalty.

We manage TikTok shops alongside Amazon accounts for client brands as an Amazon SPN Verified Partner, so both halves below come from working with the platform rather than from a support article.

The five checks, in order

Do these in sequence. Each takes under a minute, and I’ve ordered them by how often they turn out to be the answer rather than by how technical they sound.

1. Check your country actually has TikTok Shop

The most common cause by a distance, and the one no amount of troubleshooting fixes.

TikTok Shop operates in a limited but growing set of markets. It launched in Southeast Asia, expanded to the United Kingdom and United States, and has since added European and Latin American markets. Canada and Australia are the two countries people most often ask about, and TikTok Shop has not launched in either.

The list changes, so check TikTok’s own market availability rather than any article. If your country is not on it, the feature is not hidden. It does not exist for you yet, and a VPN is not a solution worth pursuing since payment and delivery are tied to a real address.

2. Check your account age

TikTok Shop requires users to be at least 18. If the birthdate on your account puts you under that, shopping features are withheld regardless of anything else.

3. Update the app

Shopping features ship with app updates. An older build simply will not have them, and this catches more people than it should because phones do not always update automatically.

Check your app store for a pending update, install it, and reopen the app fully rather than switching back to it.

4. Check the setting

TikTok includes a shopping toggle in the app’s content preferences. When it is off, product links, shop tabs, and shopping content all disappear.

It gets switched off deliberately, by somebody else using the device, or occasionally by a settings reset following an update. In our experience this accounts for a surprising share of cases where everything else looks fine.

5. Clear the cache

Corrupted cache data hides features that are otherwise working. Clear the TikTok app cache from within the app’s settings, then close and reopen it.

If that does not work, log out and back in. If that does not work either, reinstall. In my experience the reinstall resolves the residual cases that nothing else touches.

If none of that worked

Three remaining possibilities, in descending order of likelihood.

A temporary outage. TikTok suffers server problems like any platform. If shopping vanished today and nothing on your end changed, I’d wait a few hours before troubleshooting anything further.

Device or operating system age. Very old devices and unsupported OS versions lose features quietly rather than with a warning.

An account restriction. Accounts flagged for policy violations can lose access to shopping features specifically while the rest of the app continues working normally. Check your account status and any notifications in the app.

For sellers: when your shop or products disappear

Entirely different problem, and this is where the agency work actually happens. None of the fixes above apply.

Your shop is not visible

Verification is incomplete or was rejected. The most common cause. Shop features stay locked until identity and business documents pass review, and rejections are usually document mismatches rather than decisions about your business. Our TikTok Shop Seller Center setup guide covers exactly what verification wants and why it fails.

The shop tab has not attached to your profile. New shops sometimes take time to surface on the profile even after approval.

Shop health has fallen. This is the one sellers miss. On TikTok, poor standing does not produce an obvious warning. Your reach is throttled quietly, and the first symptom is a slow month you cannot explain. Late shipments, cancellations, unanswered messages, and accumulated policy violations all feed it. Our guide to TikTok Shop management covers the metrics involved.

Your products are not showing

They are still in review. New listings pass through moderation before appearing. Entirely normal, and I’d allow it a day before worrying.

The listing was rejected. Incomplete fields, images failing requirements, prohibited claims, or a description breaching guidelines. The rejection notice names the reason, and reading it properly is most of the fix.

The category is gated. Certain categories demand qualification documents before you can list at all. The listing will not publish until you supply them, and in my experience nobody tells you this until you go looking.

Stock shows as zero. If your inventory is synced from another channel and the sync failed, TikTok believes you are out of stock. This is the most common cause we see on shops connected to Amazon, and our guide to connecting your Amazon store with TikTok Shop covers keeping that sync honest.

No video attached. Not a bug, and worth stating plainly. A product with no video is close to invisible on TikTok. The listing exists, nobody sees it, and it feels identical to a technical fault.

Working out which one you have

  1. Open Seller Center and read the notifications. Rejections, violations, and verification requests all appear there before they appear anywhere else.
  2. Check the product status on the individual listing. Draft, in review, rejected, and live are four different states with four different answers.
  3. Check your shop health metrics. A quiet throttle looks exactly like a technical problem.
  4. Check stock levels against your actual inventory.
  5. Then look at content. If the listing is live, approved, in stock, and still selling nothing, you do not have a visibility bug. You have a content problem, and our guide to product research for TikTok Shop covers why some products never take on this platform.

In our experience sellers work that list in reverse, spending days on content while a rejected listing sits unread in the notifications.

Why this happens more on TikTok than elsewhere

Worth understanding, since it explains the pattern rather than just the symptom.

TikTok built a commerce layer on top of an entertainment app rather than the reverse. Shopping is a feature bolted onto something that already existed, gated by region, age, app version, and preference. Amazon has none of those conditions because Amazon is a shop that later added video.

That architecture produces the specific frustration people arrive here with. A feature that appears for your friend and not for you is not broken. It is conditional, and the conditions are invisible from inside the app.

For merchants the same architecture explains the quieter problem. Distribution is granted rather than earned through search ranking, so a shop can be entirely healthy on paper and still reach nobody. Amazon punishes you visibly. TikTok simply stops showing your work, which is considerably harder to diagnose and rather more demoralizing.

What is worth knowing before you invest more time

If you are a shopper, the honest summary is that regional availability explains most of these cases, and nothing you do to your phone changes it.

If you are a seller, the honest summary is harder. A shop that is technically visible but generating nothing is the more common problem, and it is not a fault to be fixed. Our guide to using TikTok Shop as an Amazon seller covers whether the channel suits your catalog at all, and our guide to the TikTok Shop account manager role covers who actually does the work when it does.

If you would rather have the channel run properly alongside your Amazon business, that is our TikTok Shop management service.

FAQ

Why is TikTok Shop not showing on my account?

Usually one of five reasons: TikTok Shop has not launched in your country, your account is registered as under 18, your app version is outdated, the shopping toggle is switched off in settings, or cached data is hiding the feature. Work through them in that order.

Is TikTok Shop available in Canada or Australia?

No. Both are frequently asked about and TikTok Shop has not launched in either. Market availability changes, so check TikTok’s own list rather than an article, and note that a VPN does not solve it since payment and delivery need a real local address.

How do I turn TikTok Shop back on?

Check the shopping preference in the app’s content settings, since the feature can be switched off there. If it is already on, update the app, clear the app cache, then log out and back in. A reinstall resolves the residual cases.

Why are my products not showing in my TikTok Shop?

Common causes are listings still in review, a rejection you have not read, a gated category requiring extra documents, stock showing as zero after a failed inventory sync, or simply no video attached, which makes a listing close to invisible without anything technically being wrong.

Why did my TikTok Shop disappear as a seller?

Most often incomplete or rejected verification, a shop tab that has not yet attached to your profile, or declining shop health. Poor standing on TikTok throttles your reach quietly rather than producing a warning, so a slow month is often the first symptom.

Does TikTok Shop require you to be 18?

Yes. Users must be at least 18 to access TikTok Shop, and an account whose registered birthdate falls below that will not see shopping features regardless of app version, region, or settings.
