From their size to salary range, Amazon warehouses widely vary depending on their locations. Here are some key details of the most notable Amazon facilities in Minnesota:

1. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Scott County – MSP1

Address: 2601 4th Ave E, Shakopee, MN 55379, United States 

Opened in 2016, the MSP1 fulfillment center is one of the largest and oldest Amazon facilities in Minnesota. The warehouse stands on a massive 800,000 square feet area and employs over 1,500 associates. On average, a typical worker in this warehouse earns $16 per hour.

Within the 2-mile radius of the warehouse, there are 3 notable transportation routes including MN-101, US-169, and MN-13. The drive time from downtown Shakopee to the fulfillment center is around 10 to 15 minutes.

Although the warehouse location and pay rates are good, the employees aren’t satisfied with the work environment in amazon warehouse. In 2024, the workers protested in front of the warehouse for safer work conditions and job security.

2. Amazon Distribution Center, Washington County – MSP8

Address: 11975 Hudson Rd, Woodbury, MN 55129, United States 

After building multiple fulfillment centers, Amazon opened a different type of facility in Minnesota – the MSP8 distribution center. Here, the products are picked and distributed among drivers according to the zip codes of the neighboring areas.

The warehouse is 517,000 square feet in size and houses 500 full- and part-time employees. While the average hourly rate for most employees is $17, the exact amount depends on their designations. 

Most reviews from the employees are positive, indicating a clean environment and diverse workforce. The two major routes near the warehouse are I-94 and US-12, each providing easy access to the nearby cities. From downtown Woodbury, the facility is only 11 minutes away.

3. Amazon Fulfillment Center, Dakota County – MSP6

Address: 9800 217th St W, Lakeville, MN 55044, United States 

In 2021, Amazon built the MSP6 warehouse in Lakeville for bulky items. Here, heavy packages containing gym equipment, furniture, grills, etc., are stored, processed, and shipped. 

In this 750,000-square-foot facility, more than 350 employees are appointed at an average hourly rate of $17. As it the situated near the intersection of County Road 50 and County Road 70, trucks can easily pass by without creating much traffic. 

Also, the warehouse is only 25 miles away from Minneapolis. Therefore, it can serve the customers of both Minnesota and Minneapolis. It typically takes around 5 to 10 minutes to drive to the warehouse from downtown Lakeville.

4. Amazon Delivery Station, Hennepin County – DMP1

Address: 10750 89th Ave N, Maple Grove, MN 55369, United States

Before the flex drivers head to the delivery addresses, the packages are sorted and processed one last time in delivery stations like the DMP1 facility. This warehouse is 350,000 square feet in size and about 200 employees work there in full- or part-time shifts. 

While most Amazon associates inside the warehouse get $16.61 per hour on average, drivers can make more than $20 per hour. From what I’ve seen so far, people have mixed feelings regarding the work conditions in the warehouse. 

Drivers often complain about late shifts and long waiting hours. However, warehouse workers like the pay rates and helpful management. From the city center, you can take the MN-610 W or MN-169 S route to drive to the facility in just 5 minutes.

5. Amazon Delivery Station, Anoka County – SUHV 

Address: 10335 Naples ST NE, Blaine, MN 55449, United States

The SUHV delivery station is the only Amazon building in the entire Anoka County. In this 140,000-square-foot warehouse, 350 associates are employed at an hourly rate of over $15. 

Another 200 drivers are appointed to work in their preferred shifts for faster last-mile deliveries. Some major transportation routes near the facility include MN-65, MN-610, and I-35W. 

These roads and highways connect the warehouse to the Twin Cities, Minnesota, and other major metropolitan areas. It’s only 10 minutes away from the city center of Blaine.
