Amazon Warehouse Locations in Alaska

Amazon Warehouse Locations in Alaska: A Comprehensive Guide with Warehouse Details and Job Opportunities

Share this post :

To strengthen its supply chain, Amazon has built over 180 warehouses all over the United States. While choosing a warehouse location, the company prioritizes the business environment and population density of the state.

As Alaska isn’t the most populated area and warehouse space is scarce, Amazon hasn’t built any major facility in the state until recently. Instead, the company depends on third-party warehouses and delivery services.

Let’s make a list of all the Amazon warehouse locations in Alaska with detailed addresses and maps.

Diving Deeper into the Details of Amazon’s Alaska Facilities

The size, employee number, and type of products handled in an Amazon facility widely vary depending on the type of warehouse.

Aspiring Amazon associates also take great interest in their work environment and pay rates. Here are some key details we’ve found about Amazon’s Alaska warehouses:

1. Amazon Sortation Center/Delivery Station, Anchorage County – WGE2

Address: 5900 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK 99518, United States

In 2024, Amazon launched its very first official warehouse in Alaska – the WGE2 delivery station. Although the facility is mainly for last-mile deliveries, it’s also marked as a sortation center.

Upon receiving the ordered packages, the workers will sort them based on the zip codes for different delivery routes.

After that, the packages are loaded into Amazon’s delivery trucks and vans. Flex drivers and other delivery partners of Amazon will drop them at the customer’s doorstep.

For easy delivery all across Anchorage, the WGE2 warehouse is located near the Old Seward Highway and Dowling Road. From the city center, you can get there in just 15 minutes. It’s a state-of-the-art facility with advanced equipment. https://zonhack.com/amazon-warehouse-locations-in-north-dakota/

Covering a huge 90,000 square feet area, the warehouse has over 100 delivery vans. Compared to most other states, Amazon associates and delivery service providers in Alaska get higher pay.

Initially, they get $20 per hour, depending on their positions.  The company offers both full and part-time shifts for over 250 workers.

2. Amazon Third-party Warehouse, Anchorage County

Address: 4751 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK 99503, United States

Before establishing its own facility, Amazon was dependent on third-party warehousing and delivery services like the Staples Fulfillment Center in Anchorage. Not far from the WGE2 facility, the warehouse stores small items such as bags, cabinets, bookkeeping supplies, armories, etc.

As it’s a fulfillment center, the warehouse management and workers will pick, process, and ship the orders on behalf of Amazon. However, the warehouse workers and delivery partners don’t get paid as high as regular Amazon employees.

Although there are very few reviews available for the fulfillment center, most customers provided positive feedback. If you drive to the warehouse, it won’t take any longer than 17 minutes.

3. Amazon Delivery Station, Fairbanks North Star (Under Development)

Address: 3121 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709, United States

Amazon started renovating an existing storage facility in Fairbanks in June 2024. The facility will serve as a delivery station to support its fulfillment services. Similar to the Anchorage facility, this one is also for fast and efficient last-mile deliveries in Fairbanks North Star County.

According to the reports, the facility covers a 47,000 square feet area and will house over 100 employees. Warehouse workers and delivery drivers will be paid around $17 to $28 per hour.

After the renovation, Amazon will add over 50 parking stalls, docking areas, and additional transportation passages. The warehouse is only a few miles away from the airport, so most of its products will be received by air. From the city center, the facility is only 10 to 15 minutes away.

Wrapping Up!

Judging by the recent progress, we can conclude that Amazon will continue leasing or building more facilities in Alaska. With each new warehouse, you can expect faster deliveries within only 2 days of order placement in the neighboring areas.

If you have a small business, it will be a great opportunity to ramp up and get associated with Amazon as an FBA seller. On top of that, the company will create hundreds of new vacancies for Alaskan residents. As of now, stay connected to the local job opening sources for exciting new opportunities.
