Free storage for a period<\/strong>, or a credit against storage fees, which matters because storage is charged monthly from the day stock arrives.<\/p>\n

Advertising credits<\/strong> against Sponsored Products campaigns. Often structured as a match on your own early spend rather than a free grant, which matters because a match requires you to spend first.<\/p>\n

Free enrollment in Amazon Vine<\/strong> for a number of products. That is the review-generation program, and on a first launch it is frequently the most useful item here despite rarely being the largest.<\/p>\n

Certain years have additionally bundled discounts against Amazon’s coupon or deal charges, plus liquidation and returns-processing allowances. I’d check whether yours does.<\/p>\n

The window is the whole design problem. Here is roughly how I’d lay a launch against it.<\/p>\n

Before registering.<\/strong> Do your product research, order samples, pick a supplier, and get a quote. None of this requires a seller account and all of it takes time. I’ve watched sellers register on the day they decided to try Amazon, then spend four months choosing a product while the eligibility clock ran down to nothing.<\/p>\n

At registration.<\/strong> Start the Brand Registry process if you have a trademark, or the trademark application if you do not, since most of the bundle depends on it. This is also the moment to read the current terms properly and write the closing date somewhere you will see it.<\/p>\n

On the first inbound shipment.<\/strong> Use the shipping credits, since that is exactly what they exist for. Sending a small first shipment and a larger second one wastes the benefit on the smaller of the two.<\/p>\n

On check-in.<\/strong> Enroll in Vine immediately, on day one, rather than waiting to see how organic sales go. Reviews take weeks to appear and the launch needs them early, not once the pattern is already set.<\/p>\n

Through the first 90 days.<\/strong> Spend the advertising credit against a target rather than treating it as free clicks. In our experience the data a deliberate spend produces is worth more than the clicks a careless one buys.<\/p>\n

The thread running through all five: the incentives reward a launch that was already planned. They punish a launch being figured out as it goes, which is unfortunately what a first launch usually is. I’d accept that and simply try to compress the research phase before the clock starts.<\/p>\n

What it does not change<\/h2>\n

Worth being direct, because the program is marketed enthusiastically.<\/p>\n

Incentives do not make a bad product viable. They do not shorten the 90 to 150 day gap between paying a supplier and seeing revenue. They do not touch the referral fee.
