An Amazon advertising agency plans, runs and optimizes your Amazon ads, from Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands to Sponsored Display and, at larger budgets, Amazon DSP, so that ad spend turns into profitable sales instead of leaking away on the wrong search terms. The best Amazon advertising agencies are the ones that fit your budget, catalog and team, not the ones with the biggest logo wall. Pick wrong and you pay twice. Once in the fees. Then again in the months of data a mismatched team burns while learning your account.
This guide compares 8 Amazon advertising agencies by the seller each one suits, explains how an “ads agency”, a “marketing agency” and a “PPC agency” differ, and shows how to verify any agency before you sign. Every agency description below was checked against that agency’s own website in October 2026. ZonHack is one of the eight, and we say so plainly at the end.
Amazon advertising agency, ads agency, marketing agency or PPC agency?
People search for all four, and they overlap more than the names suggest. Ignore the label entirely. What matters, I’d argue, is the scope you are buying.
| What it is called | What it usually covers | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon PPC agency | Sponsored Products, Brands and Display campaigns only | Your listings are strong and you only need the ads run better |
| Amazon advertising or ads agency | The PPC above, often plus Amazon DSP and Amazon Attribution | You want on-Amazon and display advertising under one strategy |
| Amazon marketing agency | Advertising plus listings, A+ content, SEO, storefront and sometimes off-Amazon traffic | Ads are not converting because the pages behind them are weak |
| Full-service Amazon agency | Marketing plus account health, inventory and operations | You want one team accountable for the whole channel |
The label matters less than the scope written into the contract. Read the scope carefully. I’d ask every agency the same question: which of these jobs is in the fee, and which is extra? Our guide to Amazon PPC management cost explains how that boundary moves the price.
What an Amazon advertising agency actually does
- Campaign architecture: structuring campaigns by product, goal and match type so spend can be controlled. Our guide to Amazon PPC campaign structure shows the shape.
- Search term harvesting and negatives: moving converting searches into exact match, and cutting searches that spend without selling.
- Bids, budgets and placements: adjusting by performance, time of day and placement, against a target ACoS or TACoS.
- Reporting: a regular view of spend, sales, ACoS and TACoS, and what changed and why.
- At larger budgets, DSP: display and video audiences on and off Amazon, which few small sellers need.
The mistake most sellers make when choosing an agency
Most sellers compare agencies on the wrong variables: team size, years in business, how polished the case study page looks. I think none of those decides your outcome. Not a single one. An enterprise agency built for brands spending heavily across retail media can underserve a small seller, and a boutique that is excellent at launches may have no DSP capability when you need it.
What decides it is fit, and fit comes down to four conditions.
- Your monthly ad spend. Enterprise agencies are built for large budgets. The honest ones will tell a small seller so on the first call. At the other end, a small boutique cannot staff a very large account.
- Catalog size and complexity. Five SKUs need a different operating rhythm than five hundred. Obvious, yet routinely ignored.
- What you keep in-house. If you have your own designer and copywriter, a PPC-only agency can be enough. If you have nobody, you need ads and listings run by the same team, and I’d argue that gap decides more outcomes than any pricing table.
- Growth stage. Launching, plateaued or scaling: each rewards a different strength, and the “when the answer flips” section below maps them.
How to verify an Amazon advertising agency before you hire it
Claims are cheap. Checks are cheaper. These five cost an afternoon, and in my view they remove most of the risk of a bad hire.
- Check the partner badge at the source. Amazon lists advertising partners in its Amazon Ads partner directory, and seller service providers in the Amazon Service Provider Network, which needs a Seller Central sign-in to browse. A badge on an agency’s own website is a claim; the directory listing is the evidence.
- Ask for an audit of your own account first. A useful audit names specific campaigns and search terms. Generic ones don’t. A generic deck that could describe any account tells you how the relationship will go.
- Ask who will actually run the account, which I’d consider the most revealing question of the five, how many accounts that person manages, and how often you will hear from them.
- Keep ownership of everything. No exceptions, ever. The ad account, the data and the history must stay yours, with full access, after the engagement ends.
- Get the scope and exit terms in writing, in my view before any money moves: what the fee covers, whether ad spend is separate, notice period, and what happens to the reports when you leave.
Walk away from guaranteed rankings or guaranteed ACoS figures. Nobody controls Amazon’s auction. Not even Amazon’s partners. A guarantee usually means a method you would not approve if it were described plainly.

None of the seven other agencies publishes standard pricing on its website. Expect a proposal after a call or an audit. That is completely normal.
1. ZonHack: ads and the account behind them, run by one team
ZonHack’s Amazon advertising management covers campaign structure, bidding, dayparting and TACoS control, with listings, images and A+ content handled by the same team, so ad traffic lands on pages built to convert. Clients get regular reporting. The service page shows a sample of the bi-weekly account dashboard we send.
ZonHack is an Amazon Ads partner and an Amazon SPN Verified Partner, and we have optimized 10,000+ listings.
Results published on our service page. Real clients, stated as published:
- A four-brand client came to us with ACoS above 150% and ROAS below 1.0. After three years of continuous optimization, it runs at ACoS below 10% with a 9.0 ROAS.
- A seasonal gift product went from $0 to about $446,000 in sales in roughly five weeks, nearly 20,000 units, the entire available inventory, driven by our advertising strategy.
- One client went from 5 to 489 units a day through our custom PPC strategies.
Best for: brands that want one team running the ads and the listings behind them. Start with a free ad account review if you want findings before committing, or our account audit for a deeper look.
Not for: anyone wanting a guaranteed overnight result. We’d say so on the call. We work on continuous, analytics-led improvement, and the case results above took months or years, not days.
2. AMZ Pathfinder
An agency that describes its focus as helping brands “scale with Amazon advertising”, with PPC offered “done with you or done for you”.
Best for: brands that want an advertising-led agency that can extend into the rest of the account.
Services: PPC management, Amazon DSP, Google Ads to Amazon listings, listing optimization, storefront design, ad account audits and full account management.
Consider: no pricing is published, so the fee only becomes clear after a call. I’d ask early how much of the account they run themselves and how much is done with you, because that choice changes both the fee and your workload.
3. Thrive Internet Marketing Agency
A full digital marketing agency where Amazon is one department among several.
Best for: brands that want Amazon and non-Amazon marketing from a single vendor.
Services: Amazon SEO, Sponsored Products, Brands, Display and Video, Amazon DSP, Brand Store design, Amazon Posts, and Attribution and Brand Referral Bonus management, alongside general SEO, PPC, social media and web design.
Consider: Amazon is not its only focus. It quotes for budgets from under $750 to above $100,000 a month. My question for Thrive would be simple: how many people work on Amazon accounts only?
4. Canopy Management
An Amazon-focused agency offering full account management, and an Amazon Ads Preferred Partner.
Best for: established brands that want high-touch management across Amazon, plus Walmart and Chewy.
Services: account management, PPC, DSP, SEO, listing optimization, photography and video, inventory management and revenue reclaim.
Consider: no pricing is published. Honestly, I think its scale suits brands with budget for a premium service, and a newer seller would get better value elsewhere.
5. Tinuiti
A large performance-marketing agency with a dedicated commerce division covering Amazon advertising, commerce media and commerce operations. It runs its work on its own marketing system, Bliss Point.
Best for: large brands advertising across many retail media networks at once.
Consider: it is built for big brands and big budgets. Small sellers should look elsewhere. In my view you would be a rounding error on their roster, and attention is the whole product.
6. Trivium Group
A full-service Amazon agency offering account management, PPC management, creative optimization, DSP management, SEO and TikTok Shop.
Best for: brands that want a full-service Amazon agency with a tailored plan.
Consider: pricing is not published. In its own words, “every brand has different needs”. Fair enough, but I’d still want a written scope before the first invoice.
7. Incrementum Digital
An Amazon and retail media agency working with mid-market and enterprise brands, which lists Amazon Advanced Agency status on its website.
Best for: brands selling across several marketplaces that want one agency for Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Target and other retail media.
Services: Amazon advertising, DSP, brand management and seller operations, retail media, TikTok Shop and creative.
Consider: it positions itself for mid-market and enterprise brands. Ask early whether you fit. I’d rather hear no on the first call than discover it in month three.
8. Seller Interactive
A full-service Amazon agency that says it serves 1,300+ brands, from small sellers to those scaling to seven and eight figures.
Best for: sellers who want ads, launches and account problems handled by one agency.
Services: PPC, DSP, full account management, SEO and listing optimization, product launches, brand protection, suspension appeals and reinstatement, and reimbursement recovery.
Consider: it starts with a free growth audit and publishes no pricing. Take the audit, then judge it the way I’d judge any audit: does it name your actual campaigns?
The verdict
For brands that want ads and the listings behind them run by one accountable team, ZonHack is our pick, and you can judge that against the published results above rather than its position on our own blog. For large brands spending across many retail media networks, Tinuiti or Incrementum Digital are built for that scale. For a brand that only needs PPC run better, an advertising-led agency like AMZ Pathfinder is worth a call.
Any agency on this list beats unmanaged campaigns that have not seen a negative-keyword pass in six months. Any of them. Use the comparison to build a shortlist and the four conditions to cut it down. My advice: make two or three calls, not ten, and judge each agency on the audit it gives you of your own account.
When the answer flips
- If you advertise across many retail media networks → Tinuiti or Incrementum Digital, which are structured for multi-network budgets.
- If you want Amazon and your non-Amazon marketing from one vendor → Thrive covers both under one contract.
- If you are launching your first product → choose an agency that lists launches as a service, such as Seller Interactive, and ask for its launch plan in writing.
- If you want to keep PPC in-house long-term → hire for an audit and a restructure rather than ongoing management, and keep the account yourself. Honestly, I think more brands should try this first.
FAQ
What does an Amazon advertising agency do?
It plans, runs and optimizes your Amazon ads: campaign structure, search term harvesting, negative keywords, bids, budgets and placements, and reporting against a target ACoS or TACoS. Larger agencies also manage Amazon DSP. Marketing and full-service agencies add listings, content and account management.
How much does an Amazon advertising agency cost?
It varies with scope and ad spend, and most agencies publish no standard pricing, quoting after a call or an audit. Fees are usually a monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend, or a mix. Our Amazon PPC management cost guide breaks down the models.
What is the difference between an Amazon PPC agency and an Amazon marketing agency?
A PPC agency runs your Sponsored Products, Brands and Display campaigns. A marketing agency also works on the listings, A+ content, SEO and storefront the ads send traffic to. If your ads get clicks but not sales, the problem is usually the page, which a PPC-only agency will not fix.
How do I check if an Amazon agency is a real Amazon partner?
Look the agency up in the Amazon Ads partner directory for advertising partners, or in the Amazon Service Provider Network inside Seller Central. A badge on the agency’s own website is a claim; the listing in Amazon’s directory is the evidence.
Is an agency better than hiring in-house?
An agency buys a team with processes refined across many accounts for less than most full-time senior hires. In-house makes sense when Amazon is a large enough share of revenue to justify a dedicated specialist and you can recruit one with real experience. Many brands use an agency first and bring the work in-house later. Both paths work.
How long before an Amazon advertising agency shows results?
Wasted spend usually drops within the first few weeks of a restructure. That part is fast. Compounding gains take longer, commonly two to three months, because bid decisions improve as data accumulates. Treat any promise of page-one dominance in the first week as a warning sign. Every single time.
Full disclosure: this is ZonHack’s blog, and ZonHack is #1 on this list. We are not pretending to be neutral, so we have put our published results on the table for you to judge. The other seven agencies are described from their own websites, checked in October 2026, and none of them paid to be included.
